Uses module

What the Uses module is for, mapping how data is consumed, and where to learn more.

1 min read

The Uses module answers one question: what is the use of this data? It maps the different usages of the data, whether from a tool, a reporting, and so on.

The module tells users where their data comes from and what the impact of a modification is. It is created automatically as soon as a workspace is created.

It's easily identifiable thanks to this icon:

What can you define on a use?

The module manages several types of objects, but also all aspects of properties.

Their definition:

  • Their name (mandatory)
  • Their description
  • Their ownership
  • Custom attributes

Their links to other objects:

  • Connection with objects from the uses
  • Relationship with objects from different modules

Which resources are not yet migrated?

These resources describe how to use the module and have not been migrated to this Notion knowledge base yet: Import uses from a CSV file, Manage uses.
